Brother Mentor Promise: Building a network of professional mentors and internship opportunities for undergrads with a focus on Architecture
Why did you want to become a Brother Mentor?
“I wanted to become a Brother Mentor because I wanted to learn from professional mentors and grasp their knowledge of the real world so I not only would be ready for the real world but to also teach the younger generation in the chapter. As an older member in the chapter, I found that the Epsilon Challenge kept me engaged within the chapter by going to meetings, following up with the coordinators, and working one on one with select professional mentors that shared the same career path as me. But what was definitely a driver factor was the Brother Mentor Promise that I could create not only for myself but for the future of SigEp.”

Why did you want to become a Brother Mentor?
“One of the reasons why I wanted to be a brother mentor was that when I first joined SigEp, it was almost this obscure position that only a few were granted it. This starts the drive towards it. Yet, once I was more involved with the chapter I learned that it’s all about how you can start giving back and thought to myself that being a brother mentor sounds like a natural progression for me to go into. It also felt like this final step that I needed to take before I graduated. I personally was so worried that I would never be able to progress just because it is held in such a high regard. It’s kind of why I waited to be sure that I was ready to exemplify what it means to be a brother mentor.”
